Former Ambassador Ahmed Al Matrooshi was appointed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the rank of Attaché. He served in the UAE Embassies in Khartoum, Tokyo, Tunis, and Baghdad. He was promoted in various diplomatic positions until he reached the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary. He also served as the Head of the Studies and Research Department at the Ministry and as the Director of the Studies and Research Management for West Asia. In 2013, he was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Romania. He has been promoted multiple times in his diplomatic career and has gained extensive experience in international relations and economic and trade affairs. He is considered one of the competent officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates. ُ
